“something meaningful” by daniel everett
Adrien Patout is a self-taught, Paris-based artist. Focusing on portraiture, appendages and genitalia, Patout draws small-scale charcoal & stabilo works on paper, and paints large-scale acrylic on canvas works. Overall, his works display a fondness for rendering subject matter in a realistic yet stylized manner. In his drawings, he strategically uses neon stabilo drawn lines, and in his paintings he uses color to achieve an overexposed, saturated look. All in all, it’s great stuff- it’s technical, raw and bursting with some choice ‘pop’ colors. Adrien Patout is on Tumblr so make sure to follow him.
